Lincrew's Episode 3 Preview

Last night me Silver, Scuzz and Jason decided to go on a mystical voyage to the depths of the Diad Fortress. I took some screen shots along the way so those without chars on test could get a little taste. Unfortunately for me, Wae does such a great job giving us a preview (thanks so much for all the hard work Wae, everyone really appreciates it! ) that its probably not too much that you havent seen before, but I'll go ahead anyway. Silver will probably post some of the pictures that he took a little later on today.

Mops

Most mops are similar in strength to those in Fire Valley, I will try to make reference to the mops they most closely resemble in terms of HP, dmg and speed.

These were pretty common in the central area infront of the fortess, they dont hit extremely hard but maybe a little more than some mops there. They have a decent amount of HP but not much more than any other large mop. I would rate these comparable to a lava golem but a little stronger and a bit faster moving. They have a really cool ending animation which I really must commend NC on, these things look amazing. Maybe if I go back sometime soon I will try to post an animation of it.

These are similar to bomb flowers but like the Black Ents slightly stronger than their FV counterparts. They are found in the middle area in front of the Diad fortress as well. They have a sort of green cloud attack which looks like sort of like a fungus attack but bigger and cooler looking, I thought it might poison but so far it hasnt yet.

These are found infront of the Diad fortress as well as in the cave in the north west corner. They hit pretty hard if you have low mr, pretty close to the lastabad wizards with a slightly stronger attack. You definately need mr if you are going to be hunting there alot because a couple of these hitting you with low mr (less than about 60%) and you will probably burn a fair bit of pots.

These are extremely common and spawn in traps throughout the caves, they drop oranges pretty often, considering the drop rate of test I would say these will most likely drop ojs about the same likelyhood as Fire warriors, they are about as strong as a dragonfly, they dropped the tail of dillo really often so I expect these wont cost too much even on the live servers.

These are about like firewarriors in strength speed and damage, maybe they hurt a little less than warriors. Like the Deep flower, I thought these would poison but they didn't in the time I was there.

Mole

These are also pretty common all areas of the caves, they throw rocks as a ranged attack. I believe this is a physical attack and not like the giants magical rock throwing. They are probably around the same strength as a fire archer. I think these were dropping reds and ojs also but I might be mistaken, they drop the mole leather fairly often as well.

These are a little different, they hit from slight range and are medium strength. Sort of like a cross between a fire warrior and a fire archer.

Drops

The plateworm rind didnt drop really often but the rest was really common. We also got a couple mineal exchange papers for making the black mithril

Random SS

This is just a shot of the bottom right edge of the cave, quite a fall.

Enjoy!
