New Camera!

Well, I finally decided to get a new camera since I have been slacking in the pictures department. I should have a steady flow of pics now though. I went to the Australian Hotel tonight which has like 90 beers from all over Australia. I took some pics on the way over there of the area infront of my appartment so I will post a couple up. After looking around a bit I got a good deal on a Nikon P3 which is working out really well so far. Im still working out all the shooting modes and effect modes it has but I'm sure my shots will get better with time and better lighting conditions (^.^)

Watched some rugby at the bar which was fun, they had some slow motion replay of some guy wrapping (read breaking) his leg around some other guy as he tried to kick the ball, fun sport to watch for real. So while I was there I started my Passport to Beer, which you get this passport thing and taste your way around beers from all over Australia. Once you finish you get your name engraved on a trophy in the pub and even better you have tried a heap of beer! I'll let you guys know how it goes. So far I drank some Bluetoungue pilsner, Scharer's Lager, Snowy Mountains Crackenback Pale, and Beez Neez. I also had this crazy Pumpkin pizza which was pretty much a pizza with a complete layer of pumpkin on top, if not an entire pumpkin. Here's some new pics!

I took this in the park in front of my appartment. There is some leaves on the ground cause it is fall right now but it was still decently warm out.

This is the market place in the Rocks district which is just up the street a couple minutes from me. I'm going to head there one sunday morning if I dont keep sleeping in.

At the bar.

This was the pizza I got at the Australian Hotel. As you can see its a lot of Pumpkin. Aussies love pumpkin so you can get it on alot of different things that you would never find it on in Canada. Really tasty though.

This is the library thats like two buildings from mine. Its such a cool little spot. Its got a cafe at the front of it and the floor is glass with a lit model of Sydney CBD.

Went checking for some nice restaurants at the waterfront near my place. I grabbed this shot of the streets as they come near the water.

State of Origin

Just been watching some rugby after getting back from the gym, I don't really like sports but rugby is pretty fun to watch. NSW is losing to Queensland though -.-

Work has been wicked so far, I'm done classes until exams after next week as well so that should give me some nice time off. I went to the largest club is Australia over the weekend which was pretty good times, they even finished the night by playing some Peaches. I'll probably go back some other time so maybe I will get some pics then.

Ahh field goal! NSW wins, hehe. Talk to you guys later!

Killing time before work

So for now im at YK before work. I decided to ride my bike to work today instead of taking the subway because it takes as long to ride to work as is does to walk to the subway -.-

Anways lately i havent had much time for lin. My work schedual is messed up so i work all these wierd shifts, though i do have a few days off this weekend. So i was working in the ER room of Mount Sinai the other day. I wish i got some pictures of it but 1 i didnt have a camera and 2 i prolly would have been fired if i did. There was a call to us to do a patient assist (IE use the restraints and tie them down). This guy was being held down by 2 cops so we came in and got the restraints on. Apparently he had kicked the one cop in the face. He was being charged with like 5 different things and decided to threaten me, so i ask him if he was seriously threatening with me, to which he gave a vulgar affirmative. Nice of the female cop to add that onto the list he was being charged with. He also told the doctor who was stapling his head shut (from when he fell running from the cops down an embankment)that he was going to come back and kill him too. I guess he gets that alot cause he told him to bring flowers lol. We got to watch them X-ray his head while the police made some interesting remarks regarding how he will be spending his leasure time in jail. He tried to run away as we were leading him out to the squad car and kicked one of the police in the legs. One thing i learned that day, you kick a cop your going to get kicked back O.o

Anyways time for work now, later

Skybar

Went out for some drinks last night at Skybar here in Sydney. My roommate took a couple pics so I'll post them up. I think it was openning night or something so there was a huge lineup but my friend Lisa had hookups so it worked fine for us. Other than that I have been slaving away at my last project for school for the past few days. I'm so glad that I will be done today and I can just concentrate on work, exams and having some fun. ^.^

This was on the rooftop hanging out, I got some random guy to jump in the picture with us for some reason, good times.

Beer, One Leg, & a whole lot of shopping.

Just going to throw a couple pics in for people to see and let you all know whats going on. I got a job a couple weeks ago in an HR department for an American software company and started this week. I dont't think the Australian government really meant for students to get a job like that but technically I'm within the student work visa guidelines, so screw them. So far its been awesome and I've been having a good time with it, my co-workers are pretty fun and the company provide us with breakfast which is nice of them. I can just book it out for the trains in the morning and not have to worry about grabbing a bite until I get there.

I also figured it's time to do some shopping and buy some more clothes to get ready for the winter down here since I could only fit a few pairs of pants into my suitcase on the way down. Some days its still pretty warm out, like mid 20's. Other days and especially in the evenings though its getting more like 15 out. There are so many nice clothes that I have seen here in Sydney. Unfortunately, the stores close really early (like 5pm!) every night but thursday. This obviously makes it hard to do any shopping other than weekends and thursday night since I have class and work on every weekday. Since it was Thursday I managed to get out and buy some pants, a sweater, and some more shoes. I also saw a wicked hat and some nice scarves but the store closed before I could decide on one. Ahh well, always next week.

I dropped by the Lowenbrau bar last weekend for a little beer action, my roommate snapped a quick shot so I guess I will share it with you guys, also got this picture of a seagull, man he has a strong leg. My roommate apparently saw another seagull that was walking around on nubs cause it didn't have any feet. Now that would be a site to see. This weekend I'm going to Skybar to meet up with some friends so maybe I will have some pics from that, peace out!

lol again

Round 2!~

So anyways i was doing patient watch at the hospital the other day. Some pretty crazy people in there. I had to grab onto one of the things that holds IV bottles cause the patient tried to throw it down the hallway. I'm pretty sure having the needle in your arm ripped out would be bad news, so im glad i managed to get hold of it in time. Anyways off to set up the hot tub since its warm out and i can run it ^^

all i have to say, lol

In other news...

Cougar drops suck 90% of the time, but once and a while he gives you something decent.

Other then that i have been working about 60 hours a week. My parents bought a house in Etobicoke so now i have the choice of staying there or at the 4 bedroom at Yonge and 401 which is really convenient for me. Got a party planned in June, those of you that got emails are invited. If you think you should have gotten an invite and didnt, let me know. Later everyone
